About The Hamilton Aviary

Providing Parrots Sanctuary

The Hamilton Aviary is almost 100 years old

Parrots are often rehomed multiple times over their lives

We have started to build a network of foster homes to help rescued and surrendered birds

We are also going to focus on helping community birds, providing education, and community outreach

Rehoming

Find out where our Oak Knoll birds have migrated to!

In late April, Rosie (Galah Cockatoo), Rosey (Eastern Rosella) and the Zebra Finches moved to their new home at The Toronto Zoo. At the end of July, Snowball and Howard (Goffin Cockatoos), Puff Dad (Indian Ringneck), Jessie (Umbrella Cockatoo), Billy and Bubbette (Blue and Gold Macaws) and the Cockatiels moved to Bird Kingdom in Niagara Falls. Our remaining birds that would not do well in institutional settings have been adopted by Aviary volunteers: Cocoa (African Grey), King (African Grey), Tia (Citron Crested Cockatoo) and Mya (Double Yellow-Headed Amazon). We are sad to say goodbye to our beloved flock and we hope you will join us in wishing them well in their new homes!
