Volunteer Opportunities
DAILY CARE & ENRICHMENT
Our most popular shifts happen 7 days a week, 365 days a year from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm. The Flock eagerly greets the morning volunteer crew who serves them up fresh pellets, fruits and veggies followed by time to play and bond!
TIDY UP &
SOCIAL HOUR
You will quickly learn that birds love to make a mess! Every Thursday night, our volunteers swoop in from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm to clean house but are rewarded with one-on-one time with their favourites!
ENRICHMENT +
Introducing Enrichment +. Reserved for Tuesday evenings, this shift is an excellent way to help our Avian Health Technician provide our Flock build toys, create foraging tools and a variety of puzzles to keep our birds minds happy and healthy.
TOUR GUIDES
Weekends are when we open our doors to visitors. Due to COVID-19 we've had to change from an open-house structure to private tours. Help bird-lovers connect our flock members by sharing the amazing experience that is the aviary!
SPECIAL COMMITTEES

PLANT CARE
The Hamilton Aviary greenhouse is home to many plants as well as exotic birds. Our plants also require tender care and maintenance. If you have an interest in indoor horticulture apply now.
